This mental health center complex, in the Sumter area, was designed and built in order to provide comprehensive mental health services to clients in Sumter County. The existing facility being used for the mental health center was no longer suitable for the current client volume and treatment programs.

The new state-of-the-art complex encompasses a 30,000 SF regional center, which will house the new Mental Health Clinic; a separate 3,400 SF conference center, where employee and community training and events will take place; and a storage and maintenance building. The new regional center will house about 55 staff who were previously split between three buildings in and around the area, and will serve approximately 2,670clients annually. Consolidation of multiple departments into one facility, allows for a more seamless transition between various programs for clients and provide greater security and safety. Services being provided at the center include outpatient services, treatment, crisis services, child/adolescent and family services, rehabilitation psychosocial services, day treatment, and training.
